They’ll be sold out-of-the-box ready for immediate use, worldwide.

    “As servers and other rack equipment become lighter in weight, customers have needed an economical and rapid method of attachment.

    “The Pelican-Hardigg V-Series cases are a fully universal product that include the best features of our configurable rack cases in a pre-configured solution for quick plug and play use.”

    Pelican-Hardigg V-Series Cases are built utilising a full-boxed 19” (482 mm) steel rack with an industry-standard square hole pattern, so hanging electronics with tab mounts is a snap.

    These cases also include clip nuts – just attach the clip nut onto a square hole and you’ve got a secure, threaded mount. Pelican-Hardigg even ships the case with the customer’s choice of 10-32 Imperial or M6 Metric clipnuts.

    The Cases are available in two models: The Classic-V and the Super-V. The Pelican-Hardigg Classic-V case comes in black and is available in 3U, 4U, 5U, 7U and 9U with a 83,8 cm (33”) rack depth.

    It includes one 6,4 cm and one 13,3 cm lid, four removable heavy-duty bottom casters, anti-reflective black hardware, including black stainless steel handles, lid hangers for storing the lids while in use, coupling catches for secure stacking, and a sealed gasket and PRV to keep the container airtight / watertight and eliminate over-pressurisation.

    The Pelican-Hardigg Super-V case is available in 3U, 4U, 5U, 7U, 9U, 11U and 14U with a 61 cm (24”) rack depth. It includes one 5,6 cm and one 13,2 cm lid, moulded in-rear edge casters with handles on the 5,58 cm lid for ease of movement, comfort grip plastic handles, lid hangers for storing the lids while in use, anti-reflective black hardware, coupling catches, and a sealed gasket and PRV to keep the container airtight / watertight and eliminate over-pressurisation.

    Choosing your Pelican™ Case

    Sizes can accommodate equipment from small electronics to massive fuel pods. There are four distinct lines of cases available: Pelican, Pelican Storm, Pelican-Trimcast Single Lid and Pelican-Hardigg ISP. And each has its own set of features. For starters, the Pelican and Pelican Storm are injection-moulded cases. Hot material is injected into a mould and cooled to form the part. The other two cases are roto-moulded. Resin powder is loaded into a mould attached to a biaxial arm. As the mould rotates, it s heated and 15 to 20 percent more resin accumulates in the corners and edges of the mould. When the case is dropped (and it will be), it has extra strength where needed. Each case has its own set of features. To help you find the one that’s best for you, read on:

    Anatomy of a Pelican™ Case

    STRONGER BY DESIGN
    Pelican™ cases are made with a proprietary combination of homo-polymers and co-polymers, using an open cell core and solid wall construction, which is stronger and lighter than a solid core wall. Stainless steel pins are used in hinges and handles.

    A WATERTIGHT
    The secret is the tongue and groove fit with a polymer o-ring acting as a waterproof seal.

    B EASY ROLLER
    Stainless steel ball bearing wheels last longer and ride smoother. The nylon hub adjacent to the stainless steel is made to resist heat. The result is less wear and tear on the polyurethane wheel.

    C REINFORCED PADLOCK PROTECTORS
    Stainless steel reinforced padlock protectors provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.

    D DOUBLE-THROW LATCHES
    The Double-Throw latches are smarter and easier to open: it’s the classic “C” clamp design with a secondary movement that works like a pry bar to start the release and offers plenty of leverage to open with a light pull.

    E FOAM
    All Pelican™ cases (except Micro Case Series™ cases, Memory Card Cases, 1780, 1780HL, and1780RF) come standard with Pick N Pluck™ foam. 1700,1720,1750 Cases come standard with 3 piece foam sets. Replacement foam is available for all models (except Memory Card Cases, i1010, and i1030, i1015). To order a case with no foam, add NF to the catalogue number.

    F NAMEPLATE
    Custom engraved nameplates are available for a nominal fee.

    G COOL UNDER PRESSURE
    The Automatic Pressure Equalisation Valve releases built-up air pressure while keeping water molecules out, resulting in a watertight case that is even easier to open.
